Hello
I will be downgrading to XP later today. Mostly for gaming and freeing up resources. It will be my first time installing an OS to my computer myself. My plan is to just pop in the xp install disc (it should reformat on its own i think) and then it should just load up as far as i know and then I load on my software. I am a little worried about all this stuff about drivers and bios and what not though whats all that about?
Oh I have an Acer Aspire 3680 upgraded to 2GB of ram
(they were originally made for xp actually, i bought one of the later ones when they just started instaling vista on them)
Are there any potential problems that you more experienced computer follk can see in this?
I would like to be as prepared as possible
Thank You

You will just need all your drivers.

yeah thats a little confusing. what sort of things have drivers and where can I get them?
sorry I know thats an obvious answer but its my first time so i have no idea -
You might also want to check the Acer board on this forum for tips on installing XP on your computer, and then stop by the Acer website and see what official drivers are listed for XP for your laptop.
