This might be an odd question, but is there any software available that will monitor electricity usage? What I'm trying to figure out is whether I have a problem with the power in my apartment. My VoIP box constantly tells me that it has lost power, which is a pain because I have to tell it I haven't moved, yada yada...
So I'm wondering if there's any way I could set my computer to map out the consistency of the power it receives throughout a day. I searched Google, Download.com, and the forums here, and didn't come up with much.
Thanks for any help!

I seriously doubt you will be able to find something like this that's pure software. You will need some type of hardware device to interface with the power and the computer. Something like that would probably be very expensive and not something targeted at a consumer market. The only thing I can think of is a Kill-A-Watt, which gives you some basic readings, but you'd need to further define what "power consistency" is.
You're probably better off getting a small UPS for your voip box. Some of those will also do a little power monitoring. -
are you sure its not a surge !
