I have my Sony TXN to "ask me what to do" when the power button is pushed. Now there are two different ways it can ask. I used to have the one where there is a panel that opens up with different buttons for each of the options. However, I just recently upgraded the fingerprint reader and instead it now gives me the menu style of which to choose. How do i get the old one back. If no one gets what I"m talking about I'll try to get some pictures.

    Any help is appreciated.

right click any open area on desktop> Properties> ScreenSaver tab> Power> Advanced

Once there you can toggle ur options for when the power button is pressed

Thanks for the reply, but I guess I wasn't clear, my apologies. I know how to get the ask me what to do option; however, I am concerned with the "way" I am asked.

I used to get this, this is what I want:

    But now I get this:

Nominally it's to do with users and switching (if I recall) try making sure that fast user switching is enabled.

Edit: Note on my PC (XP Pro) if I change the way users logon to use the welcome screen I get what you want, if I stop it using the welcome screen, I get what you don't want).
