    Hi...

A friend of mine is looking for some battery/power manager software where he can define some threshold limits regarding charging the battery (like Lenovo's Power Manager).

As far as I and he knows the generic power manager in Vista/XP wont do it. But is there any freeware program which allow him to define threshold limits ? He runs XP.

    Regards,

Has he checked with the manufacturer of his laptop to see if they've got such a piece of software? From what I've seen, since the battery design is proprietary, the battery-control software tends to be proprietary as well, meaning that each OEM will have its own specific solution.
