I have Powerpoint 2007 installed on my laptop, it is part of Microsofts Home and Student Edition. My problem happens when it comes to trying to view 2003 editions of powerpoint. Most of the time i have no problem opening the previous versions of Powerpoint but once in a while I come across ones that I cannot open.

The error I get is: the loading bar at the bottom gets stuck half way. a message pops us saying "press escape to cancel opening the document",

When i go to click anywhere i just get the "not responding" issue and i have to exit out of everything.

Any ideas what may be causing this or how to fix this?
