This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I've purchased a notebook with Win7 preloaded but no CD/DVD burner.

    Can I make a backup of the OS directly to a USB drive.

    OR

    Can I make an ISO copy of the OS.

    How?

    Every laptop without a built-in optical drive has had either recovery disks included or you had to buy them.

    It is possible to get an ISO of the OS downloaded. There should be a thread with links floating around here...
