    Microsoft PC Advisor
Software Download link expires on October 24, 2008.

    Windows feedback Program [email protected]

Microsoft PC Advisor is an easy-to-use tool that helps you get the most from your PC by preventing and fixing issues related to performance, networking and printing. Microsoft PC Advisor is not a replacement for anti-virus and Windows security software. It works in parallel with these applications to enhance your PC experience by accomplishing the following:

    · Microsoft PC Advisor continuously monitors your PC for problems and gives you the solutions, in real time, to fix them
    · Microsoft PC Advisor keeps your PC running smoothly with important software and driver updates
    · Microsoft PC Advisor optimizes your Windows experience with useful tips and tutorials

note-If you take the survey on a PC that is not running Windows Vista, Microsoft PC Advisor will not install. Microsoft PC Advisor is optimized to support Windows Vista and would not be of any value to another version of Windows, and will exclude participants running other versions of Windows prior to initiating the Microsoft PC Advisor installation.

I'm a bit skeptical about anything Microsoft advises, frankly.

Well considering that one is running their O/S, who better to check for errors, security issues and tweaks?

I installed it, and actually I am a bit impressed. I would trust them to know their own system more than I would some 3rd party freeware that cant even hook the kernel, and tries to tweak system performance by cleaning/deleting critical required windows .dll entries in the registry.
