Whenever I start up my system, it gets to my desktop, loads up Zone Alarm, Launchy, Volume Control, and NHC. After it seems as if everything is done loading, my screen spazzes for 3-5 seconds and it looks as if it has artifacts. When I take a screenshot during this time period is looks as if nothing is wrong with it. I will take a picture with a digi camera and post it to hear what you guys think. This started happening after I installed Heroes V: Might and Magic.

Also, I don't know if this is normal but when I hit Alt+Ctrl+Delete and go to the Performance Tab it says that I have about 640,000 Physical Memory (K) available out of a total of 1046904 (1 gb). However, when I add up all of the values in the Processes Tab and subtract it from the 1gb of total physical memory, it only equals around 803,000. What happend to the 160,000-ish memory?

Did you check to see if you have the latest video drivers?

I do infact have the latest video drivers. This just started to occur about 2 or 3 days ago. I have previously been running fine since my reformat for about 2 weeks.

Edit: I took off NHC off from startup and restarted it once, it seemed to fix it. I will restart a few more times to make sure that NHC is the problem. If I start NHC after startup manually the screen does not mess up. I really hope I can sort this out because I love NHC. I'll post pics in a sec

Yeah, it's normal. The processes tab doesn't show everything running on the system, like the services, and kernel, and whatever else that's built into the OS; which can use up quite a bit of memory.

I would not worry too much about it, madrox. I have an Asus S96J with similar setup to your sig, but I have an X1600 with hypermemory. A fresh boot for me also reveals about 120,000 ram unaccounted for (I have available ram at 700,000 and total RAM is 1GB). And I don't have NHC running. Could be XP takes up more memory than the Task Manager processes are showing.
