    Hi
I installed w8 from an usb on my new ssd. Now I want to go back to w7. I prepared an usb with w7-iso but my computer doesnt boot from the usb anymore. I have changed boot order but it doesnt help, it starts from the ssd either way.
What can I do? I have an asus ux32vd-3001v.

    Thanks

wouldn't it have been easier to have downloaded VM player instead of format the drive?

You could pull the SDD (slide it out 1cm or so but, keeping it in place) then slide it back in (plugging it back in) the minute the the installer starts booting. Sata is hot swappable and the installer should pick up on the SSD even though the bios didn't. that's assuming it's actually seeing the usb drive as bootable which it possibly isn't causing the problem you have.

Maybe the USB drive is somewhat faulty? Or perhaps the port you're using. Either way, glad you got it to load. :) You might want to check that USB drive though, just to make sure; if it's going bad, it could mean problems with your Win7 installation at some point.
