I have an Acer laptop with Windows XP.For the last 2 weeks,it's impossible for me to transfer files in the D: drive.Let say I have some pictures(digital files) on the screen(uploaded via a memory card reader).I the select them all and want to copy them to a folder I have in the D: drive.I click on "D: drive" and nothing happen.Just below D: drive is a folder(the last one used)and if I would want,I could transfer my files to this folder but if I don't want to do so then...I'm jam with that folder.I discovered that if I copy those(or one of those)files to a folder in the C: drive then...the D: drive is now unjam and I can transfer the files to any folders I have it the D: drive. In the C: drive ,I can do whatever I want all the time.I never get stuck with the last folder used.Is this a laptop problem or a Windows XP problem?Any idea how to resolve this? Thanks!

Well...I did solve the problem.I did delete 60 folders(out of maybe 200) I had in the D: drive and now,I can move or copy files in the D: drive at will like it should.Since there was still 13 GB of free space(before I did delete the 60 folders)it's my guess that you're kind of limited as to how many folders one can have in a drive and when you get beyond that number then, you get stuck with the last one used.I'm using Windows XP Professional.
