    Hi there

I'm trying to uninstall crawler spyware terminator from my laptop which is running vista ultimate but I keep getting the following err msg's.

    1. When I use the Programs and Features uninstall method I get "You do not have sufficient access to uninstall Spyware Terminator Please contact your system administrator"

    2. When I try to use the unistall program that is in the spyware terminator folder /and located on the start menu "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appopriate permissions to access the item."

I've tried running as the "hidden" administrator user and I've tried the take ownership method of gaining access to files but neither is working.

I really want to get rid of Spyware Terminator as I don't use it now that I have Kaspersky.

Please could someone advise me on how I can get rid of it.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice :)

If you've got CCleaner installed, use the "Tools" option, and try uninstalling there.

Umm no need. I took a look at the security tab on the properties of the folder and they had been reset so they were all unticked - I ticked them all and now it's allowed me to uninstall. Odd that, possibly something the app did to itself to prevent malware removing it I suppose.

Oh well, thanx for the CCleaner tip though :)
