    Problem with Illustrator 5.1! Help please!

    I am trying to follow an online guide of how to create 3D letter / logo

    The first step is to create a text with one letter and then increase the size.

    Now when I press the T to get the text tool and enter the letter, it looks fine, but when I increase the size to a bigger font size, the letter disappears and I get a weird shape (image below)

    Please help me...what is goin on? I have tried uninstalling Illustrator 5.1 and even reformatting Windows and it doesn't work

    That's because your stroke size is 80pt... Lower it to 1pt and it'll be back to normal.

    EDIT: Or better yet, change the outline to [None]
