    Hi all,

I have bought a sony vaio vgn-fs415m since 2006 but i have done about 7 formats. When i do format the system is working perfectly but after a couple of months something is happend i don't know what and the system is stack again and the speakers make a scratch on the sound.

I do the format as the manual says , i save my files on the local D partion and i do format on the C partition. The software is inside the laptop so i don't use a CD.

Is it possible to make a real format and delete all files in my laptop and put on it windows XP SP2 and if yes how ? I know it could be done... Can anyone give me useful informations or any howto?

    thanks
