I installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit today and everything is great apart from one thing.

I cannot add any of my music files to Windows Media Player. The folder that contains my music is being monitored by WMP, but none of the files will add to it. There are only 3 sample music files in the library that came pre-installed. I have exactly the same problem with Windows Media Center too. My music will just not add to it.

The strange thing is that my Videos and Pictures have been added to to library without a problem, so why not my music?
All my music was added to iTunes without a problem aswell, so again, why is WMP kicking up a fuss? I cannot seem to find an option to directly add a file/folder to the WMP library, instead you just have to set it to monitor folders.

I am able to share my music with my PS3 and the other computers on my network without any problems aswell.

Windows Media Player/Center just seems totally reluctant to add any of my music to its library :(

If anyone is able to shed some light on this I will be very grateful. Cheers :)
