    Hello!

Im a total XP fan, but my sister recently bought a new laptop and she has windows vista. I`m still confused with it, can`t find anything there..It seems perfect like for people till 14 year of age.

The problem is with wireless card. She has HP6715b laptop and like I said I can`t find anything there. She has HP wireless assistant but I can`t enable wireless card there. All the turn on buttons are inactive. I read help and it seems that her wireless card could be disabled somewhere else. I have re-installed all the drivers. I have run even system backup and all the stuff like this, but it still doesnt work.

When I go to device manager and click on network adapters..Theres just her network lan card and thats all..
I tried to boot the laptop using safe mode..and that time i clicked on device managed and under network adapters I was able to find the wireless card there and all the other componenets..

Can you help me please and tell me where this wireless card might be disabled..Because I cant find anything when I`m using Vista..

    Thanks!

Have you tried the wireless enable button at the very top of the keyboard? Other possibilities are that the card is fried. Send it back to HP to get it fixed if that's the case.
