I was installing a student copy of office 2007 last night, and my computer shut off during the installation. Now it didn't fully install, and there are no entries in add/remove programs, but now when I try to install it again I get an error. I'm not sure how to go about cleaning off the corrupt installation. I deleted the Office 2007 folder under program files, but I dont wanna go through the registry deleting anything that has office in the name....

Edit: After rebooting, Windows update seems to think office fully installed, and it wants me to install SP1 for office....

do a System Restore and set it back to b4 you started the office install and you should be good to go.

Suggestion: Alwayys create a System Restore Point b4 installing major programs or making major changes to your system.

    Start >.All Programs >>Accessories >>System Tools >> System Restore :)
