    I do have a Aspire 7730G Series.
    SNID: 93403674125

I have some probems loading Windows Vista.

The Notebook can load the setup menu, but after entering the setup menu I get a black screen and after about 1 a 2 minutes, the Notebook shut down automatically.

I do hope someone can assist me with this.

By "setup menu", do you mean the Advanced Boot Options? Or are you talking about the BIOS setup or quick boot screen? If you can let us know where exactly it's shutting down, that will help us determine whether it's hardware related or software related. :)

that sounds like the bios menu. is it a blue/grey colour page.

have you got your original vista operating system disc. if so put this in the drive and then turn the lappy on and click repair.

unless someone else has a better idea as ive never touched the bios in all my years of owning computers so i wouldnt know what to suggest.

It is indeed a blue/grey page.

I do have a orginial OS, but I lost my disc. I have only a Windows 7/8 disc left (both been used).

Can I use one of them to launch the Notebook via the disc?

Yep, definitely BIOS. Is your PC shutting down while in this menu? That doesn't sound good...

You can't run Windows off either your Windows 7 or 8 disc; those are strictly install discs (unless they're recovery discs). You will need what's known as a Live CD if you want to boot into and run an operating system from a disc. You can obtain any number of Linux Live CDs for free (download), or you can try running Mini Windows XP as well (Hiren's Boot CD contains it).

If the system is shutting down after 1 to 2 minutes despite what you're doing, though, then the problem is probably hardware related.
