I downloaded a trial version of Acronis True Image 11 with the intentions of create a back-up or image of my new system before I perform a reformat. I was ablt to get through about one DVD-R before Acronis began telling me that additional DVDs I entered were "full" or that the drive was "busy." Does anyone have any thoughts as to why I encountered these errors?

Also, are there any other, perhaps simpler back-up apps that anyone would suggest? Thanks!

Make a bootble CD of TI 11 and run your BU from that CD. I had problems with it hanging when I had it loaded on my FZ. Then I started running it from the disk and it works well. However, there is also a compression problem with music files that they are supposed to fix soon.

I would highly suggest you consider backing up your data to another hard drive, as burned DVDs are (in my experience) extremely unreliable. A single scratch...all the data. Or just a malfunction while burning that the program does not catch...

Anyway, I'm not entirely sure about this since you have to break it up into various media. Did you choose to limit your file sizes to DVD size, and are using blank (but previously formatted) DVD discs?

Yes, they are both blank and previosuly formatted. I'll see if I can dig up an external HDD though. Thanks.
