When trying to start up Nero 7.0, it constantly causes my computer to freeze.

Then, when I actually burn a DVD the first 5-10 minutes of the DVD skips. After the beginning it runs fine.

My computer I'm using is pretty new and fairly fast so I'm not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Vista is known to have compatibility issues with this program; although I'm not sure if you are running it.

Yeah, the computer is running Vista. I personally prefer XP but it's my friends computer...

    I appreciate the help.
