After installing and trying to use Nero 8 Micro it works fine until I try to burn a DVD and then it says:
*Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library*
Runtime error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero Core\nero.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I've tried re-installing the same version (v8.1.1.0) and even updating to v8.3.1.0 and I still get the same problem everytime.

If it's pirated software... well, that's what get.. -

It's just a modification to regular Nero. It uses the same serial number it just includes only certain key features from Nero to save disk space.

well, i htink it may still be piracy, idk..... but do you have C++ runtimes installed?

Well...the long story short is this is my friend's computer so I have no idea (that probably sounds suspicious with my "pirated" software but what the hell). How would I check? If I don't should I download it?

When I load Nero 8 StartSmart, I get the same error.

Nero Micro is a striped down version of Nero that has only the essential tools for CD/DVD burning, it doesn’t have any of the usual bloat ware that is usually bundled with Nero (i.e. Media players, editors, viewers, search tools etc.. basically everything that has nothing to do with CD burning are removed). It still requires a valid serial number, therefore I don’t think it is illegal.
Anyways, getting back to the topic…… I also use Nero 8 Micro (under Vista ultimate), so far no problems with burning either CDs or DVDs.
