The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I have 49 processes running right now.

    RivaTuner
    Firefox
    AV
    Threatfire
    Backup software
    and then other stuff

    When I do a restart, I'll post the # of processes right after.

    I also have 49 running, with 683mb ram. I would be using around 500mb normally but Firefox is using kind of a lot of ram.

    21 Processes at startup

    Could kill the nvidia tray icon too, but that's useful.

    I usually have about 25 running (pidgin, newsleecher, firefox, utorrent)

    28 as I type this on an old desktop with XP which used to be my son's gaming machine.
