KIS 2010 is bogging down my system, so I'd like to set the affinity to core 1, but I keep getting "access denied".![]()
Vista x64 SP2.

Generally you have to run one full system scan after the first installation to sognificalntly improve performance.
Also - do not update KIS and run a scan at the same time.
If your problem is due to a memory leak - download it again (I know, same file number) and instal it again. -
I only had anti-virus last year, I upgraded to internet security for the firewall. -
Remove external drives to speed it up and try a full system scan. -
I'm more puzzled by the fact I can't set affinity though, that's my main issue.
