Is there anyway to change the order that programs start when you logon? I have already dont the msconfig thing but there are still a few programs that I wan to start. This is especially b/c programs like steam start before my wireless does and then give me annoying messaages about not being able to get a connection. Thanks in advance for any help!

I use bootvis to manage startup functions -- optimizes everything, lets you choose what to include (and what not to), the order, etc. Got my startup time cut about in half! You can find it lots of places, including:

You can try the program "startup delayer". What it does is let you pick where programs are started from (registry, startup folder, the delayer program). Once you decide where to launch all your programs from, you can then "delay" them and space them out the way you see fit.

Wireless is a system device, so you can leave that to windows, but just delay the programs that require the wireless connection.

Surprisingly, this program REALLY speeds up your startup...especially if you have a lot of startup programs. By delaying certain programs you prevent memory sharing problems. These problems usually result in timeouts...a MAJOR annoyance.

Check it out...I think you'll find it's what you are looking for...
