I'd like to run some applications as services, so they start when Windows is loading, even before the login screen appears. This is good to protect the computer running apps like firewalls even without a user logged in.
Thanks

You don't need to buy anything, just right click my computer, manage, services and applications, services, bingo bango your there. Then you can manually or automatically start services or just disable the services.

Opera works fine, it's MS fault. Why isn't there any free programs to do it? There's a lot of freeware utilities, and this one shouldn't be so complex to do.

run --> msconfig

I don't have that program in my Windows (2000 SP4)

what apps are you trying to run? for your firewall there should already be a service for it.

I want to load RMClock as computer service, so even if the computer reboots while I'm away, the "performance on demand" cooling system will work at the login screen.

u can try using SrvAny then
