I`m looking for a free software that could enable me to access my second laptop and working with desktop, application, files and network,as I`m in front of it wherever i was over the internet.
Is`t possible to do that by using a program with password or like that?
Or to log in to my son`s laptop in another town, with his permission?

    Thanks!

    Try LogMeIn.com
I think it's one of the easiest way to do what you ask.

LogMeIn is very nice, and it has a free version that will do what you need to do.

Another vote for Logmein.com. I don't know how I lived without it. It will let you work on any programs you have on the remote machine as if you were there. Put it in Full-Screen mode and there is no difference between the remote computer and the one in front of you. Also the computer from where you are accessing doesn't need to be that powerful, as the resources that are being used to run the apps will be those in the remote computer. The biggest benefit comes from a strong internet connection.

The free version doesn't allow sound or file transfers though. But unless the files you need to transfer are gigantic, not having file transfer access would not be a deal breaker.

I think if you sign up you still get a 30-day trial of the professional version which allows file transfers and sound.

    Microsoft Live Mesh
It's a little bit faster than logmein and you can automatically sync files either directly or offline (uses free cloud server) between computers.

TeamViewer is another alterative - it worksvery well as far as I am aware :)

(Installed SP3 on an old laptop in Germany from the UK)

f you set it to launch at startup you can log in once the computer is online with a preset password :)

The fastest remote access software I know is Radmin (Remote Administrator). Only problem is, it's a little pricey - 50 bucks. The software I am now using is TightVNC - it may not be the fastest remote access software, but it's free, lightweight, easy and gets the job done. I use it on all of my computers.
