Just use the sofware that came with your pocket PC/Phone.

If you don't have the disc, go on to Phone Manafacturers website, and download the program. If your pocket PC uses Windows Mobile, I'm pretty sure you there is device sync function hidden in the OS.

If it's Windows Mobile, you need ActiveSync, which is free from MS, but only works with Outlook (you usually get an Outlook license and CD with an Windows Mobile device). If it's a Palm-based system, you need Palm Desktop. There are a few 3rd party solutions as well, such as those from Laplink and Intellisync, that work with other PIM software.

However, I got the impression he wants to sync his PocketPC and his regular cell phone (seperate devices). In that case, you may need some other software that supports the particular phone. I think FutureDial is one solution that is sold at Radio Shack and some Best Buy stores, but I'm not sure it works via the IR or BT.

I think there is no way of doing that. You could sync PPC with PC and then mobile phone with PC through another software of that phone. Outlook could be your main database and I am sure that Pocket PC can sync with Outlook and most mobile phones too. So PC as the main database for those two devices. You will have to do two sync procedures for updating all three places. But you can probably enter a new address or phone number on each of the places and sync.

At least I would try that.

Edit: Friend of mine informs me that Nokia can transfer every contact over infrared into the Pocket PC address book. It is possible, but only one contact at the time.
Edit 2: I just tried over Bluetooth - it works too - all of the fields and contact pictures are transferred, but again one at the time.

    Cheers,

    Ivan
