How can i change this so it gos from left to right? Also, is there a way to disable the multiple desktop thing? I have having to cycle through them to find the thing i'm looking for.

I prefer to create a folder of my own to use as a toolbar and populate it myself with shortcuts of my choosing.

Yeah, Thats how i use the quick launch bar. For open programs though, its a pain to organize(atleast for me, since i'm use to 1 desktop, and the instances to be on the taskbar from left to right)

Other than grouping like items, AFAIK the open programs are left to right in the order opened, no?

Thats what it looks like... Note that i have 3 apps open, but only 2 show on the bar, and on the wrong side... plus they are all squished. The 3rd app is on its own desktop.
I got a 20" widescreen display, so its not like i'm lacking in horizontal screen real estate.
So does anyone know how to switch it back to XP/2000 style? -

If you right-click on some open space on the taskbar and select properties and go to the Toolbars tab do you have more than one toolbar active?
Also, as long as the taskbar is not locked, you can drag it over to the left.Attached Files:

Ah.... You are right, the thing was locked, and the 'task bar area' was pushed all the way to the right, which is why it only allowed 2 windows open at a time without forcing me to scroll through them.
Thanks for the help -

I like having mine locked, so it doesn't change.

Yeah, after i slid it back to the left, i re-locked it. Just so i dont accidentally screw it up.
Programs on taskbar(vista) pile from right to left...
