This is the first community prototype from Microsoft's Office Labs. Community prototypes are projects Microsoft employees work on in their spare time. Speed Launch's goal is to let you get to the stuff you use faster and with less frustration.

It said it was light on resources and the video did make it look interesting so I decided to try it on my XP SP2 machine. It was NOT light on resources at all using around 35k instantly and the interface wasn't appealing at all. The functions were decent...but I'm most likely going to be uninstalling it soon. Try it out and tell me what you guys think of it. I might try it on my Vista machine to see the difference in resources.

C'mon McGrady, in our 2-4 GB RAM era, 35K is considered light on resources.
Seriously, a single FF3 window with no tab opened uses as much memory already.

Compared to Launchy and its 5k? Yea...NO

I see it needs Net Framework 3 Am I behind the times not having that installed? Or is it installed with SP3?
