The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Protector Suite QL upgrade

    Does anyone know if Protector Suite QL (fingerprint scanning software) has an upgrade for the new Mozilla Firefox browser version? I downloaded the old version again but I can't keep Mozilla from upgrading it. I can't use my fingerprint to put in usernames and passwords automatically since the program says that the version is too new. I don't want to use IE, so that is out. So any updates out?

    Use regedit (start->run->regedit) and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\mozilla\

    change the latest "Mozilla Firefox 1.5.x.x" key to "Mozilla Firefox 1.5" and restart firefox.
