As per the instructions of my Exchange provider, I am suppossed to have the following UNCHECKED: "Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate" (this is found in Account Settings--> Settings-->Connection-->Excahnge Proxy Settings.)

For some odd reason, Outlook keeps deciding to CHECK this options, which in turn, dramatically slows down my connection.

Any idea why it keeps doing this and how I can have it so thats permanently unchecked?

I'm assuming this is a work laptop? Have you contacted your internal IT department? It sounds suspiciously like some kind of auto policy update or something like that.

It is for work, but I work alone.

How do I find out whats causing it?

BTW: Outlook is ridiculously slow. Am constantly getting the "trying to connect to the exchange server notice" and "Not responding" nonsense as well.
