I installed puppy linux latest version ( puppy-1.0.7-mozilla.iso) on a CD and then I was able to boot from it. But I have some problems.

1- It was OK but I am not able to connect to internet as i ran modem wizzard but it is not able to detect my hardware modem, I don,t know why? I have Toshiba satellite M70 with XP Home.

2- I tried to boot from USB key but failed. I used following link http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1676&page=3
After I started utility Install Puppy USB Drive, then added /dev/sda1 as my usb drive, it said sorry this drive is not formatted with a single msdos partition. What should I do, I amnot sure what is the problem.

3- When i run puppy from CD, it does not recognize my USB mouse, only recognizes my touch pad instaed. strange?

4- Also i am very knew to linux, i don,t know how to configure internet, modem, CD rom,DVD rom, messenger , etc, any web site with spoon feeding?

I wil be thankful for help but please it should be easy as i have very little knowledge of PC and don,t know DOS.
