    So i was looking through my old comp, and i had show hidden files on from before....i came across something called "python22"...i have no idea what it is....does anyone know?

    Python is a programming language. The folder's been put there for to support some programs that use Python, if you delete it, someone's going to break.

    Is the old computer a HP or Compaq or a MAC? Do you have a program called Pysol installed on the old computer?

    It's just a harmless installation of a slightly older version of the Python scripting language. Maybe your manufacturer put it there because it uses some kind of setup script.
