When I have the Default Beep disabled in Sounds via the Control Panel, everytime that beep would play I get a very loud and obnoxious beep from my speakers. The default beep that I had disabled was much quieter than the one that replaces it after I tried to disable it. I cannot seem to truly disable this sound. There aren't many programs that seem to trigger the sound but it is very loud and bothersome when it comes.
Is there anyway to truly disable this sound? I prefer to have Windows makes NO sound. The only idea I have had was to try and create a .wav that is just silence and swap that with the "Default Ding" that is the default sound for this instance, hopefully tricking windows into thinking it is playing a sound.
I did some searching on here but no solution yet.

So you`re saying disabling the sound in the Sound scheme does not work? that`s odd.
Try the No sound scheme from the panel then...Attached Files:

When I disable the sound, the sound that is selected in the control panel goes away. However, it is automatically replaced by this LOUD system beep when I have the sound disabled in control panel.

Yes, you can disable it.
Look for the 'Beep driver' (I think it's called) in Device Manager, and disable it.
I think it's listed as a running service as well.
