I'm not even sure this is possible, but if it is could someone please tell me how to do it. My apartment building currently has free wifi for all its residents. This means that anyone in the building can connect to the internet through this AP. I currently have two computers connected, my desktop and my laptop. I'd like to be able to share files between these two computers, but I would like to do it in such a way that neither computer is visible to anyone else connected to the AP. Is this possible? I know I can password protect everything, but I'd prefer if they couldn't see my computers in the first place. Is this possible?

sorry, If someone can move it to that section that would be great. Or I can repost it there and someone can delete it here.

You probably want some kind of VPN. Take a look at Hamachi.

Ive used hamachi before to play cs 1.6 on LAN with friends

Its quite good and simple to set up

this is one way of making a VPN (Virtual Private Network)
