Hello:
Quick question about GTalk.
I generally use Gtalk - the standalone app and not the one built into Gmail - for voice calls. Been using it for a couple of years with no problems at all.
Suddenly, one day the following happens:
(1) I connect with a friend - we are both on GTalk (I am using the X201, btw)
(2) I initiate the call - can hear the bell ring
(3) Friend responds and says "hello" - I can hear him
(4) I say hello - but he can't hear me.
I am using a set of Sennheiser earbuds (with a embedded mic) which came with my Samsung phone. I then tried it via the Gmail (logged in) page. No luck. I then tried it on my tablet (as in the sig), no luck. But on the phone I can use the headphones to listen to music and to respond to normal voice calls with no problems. I swap out the headphone and use another no-name brand. Same problem.
Friend suggests we use Skype. I download and install and initiate chat - no problems whatsoever! I am using the same Sennheiser earbuds.
I can't seem to isolate the problem. Can you help me out with some suggestions?
Thanks.

GTalk might be a using a different microphone as default.

Anyways, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Let's see if it works now. -
