    Hey everybody,
I went out yesterday and bought one of the cheap HP laptops Walmart had on sale that was running Win8. I plan on using this for Compiling android so Lucid Lynx (Ubuntu 10.04) will be the main OS on the system.

My question is since I have no use for Windows 8, nor do I particularly like it, if I do format the HDD and install Lucid Lynx and say one day I wanted to reinstall Win8 and use that as my main OS would I be to do so since there is no product key in the bottom of the laptop or under the battery. I have read a bit about it and from what I've gathered Win8 stores the product key on the BIOS, but if I do a full wipe and install LLwould that get rid of the product key? I know it shouldn't but I'm paranoid so I thought I should ask the experts.

Sorry the post isn't worded the best, I'm having a hard time putting that question to paper.
