Hey guys. I formated my laptop and the audio driver from the ASUS website decided to not work properly so I went to find some updated drivers since Realtek's website only date drivers as back as 2017. I found some 2019 drivers on drp.su and downloaded them. Is that site safe? I did run malwarebytes (free) after installing them but didnt find anything. Malwarebytes blocked the site as well. Also found a folder called DIFX with just an exe file that was named dpinst and an uninstallable program in the "uninstall programs and features" in the controll panel called windows driver package - asus (asus ptp driver) hidclass *some numbers*

I would not touch any driver from any site other than the original manufacturers even if you paid me.

DRP.SU was Driver pack solution's official site when I used it in 2013-2015.
After that, I started using Snappy driver origin or something and then I stopped it altogether in favor of OEM drivers or MSFT drivers from update catalog.

those Realtek audio v6.0.9088.1 drivers from MS are in compact UAD (universal audio driver) / DCH (Declarative Componentized Hardware) format and may not be fully compatible with the OP's Asus laptop.

best if the OP tries to find fully compatible audio drivers from the ASUS support site rather than using 3rd party driver sites
