ill be ordering a laptop within the month. My experience is tinkering with desk top towers, never had a laptop. Its been awhile since ive messed around with computer hence my question. I plan on getting a ssd and buying my own copy of windows so i can install it on the ssd. I will also have to get a external drive in order to do the install. The lap top will come with an 1 TD sata drive installed btw. Once i figure out how to install the ssd will window 10 give me the option which drive i can install it on?

Will the laptop come with a license of Windows preinstalled?
Why do you need an external for the install? Do you mean a disc drive? You can install from a thumb drive.
