Okay, I have a quick question. I want to purchase Windows 7 Ultimate x86/x64 to install on my Laptop currently running on Windows Vista x64. I want to preserve all installed games and applications and maintain the folder and shortcut structures which I have built over this last year. With the new Ultimate Dvd will I be able to upgrade to Win 7 without having to format and without losing all my installations and folder structures? Please answer in detail preferably from experience.

Yes you can. All you do is put the disk in and follow the directions. My husband has the 64 bit and the installation went smooth as a babies butt.
