    Question about task bar

    How, I'm wondering if there is a way to tell if I have programs open in the teaskbar, without mousing over it to see if a screen shows up.

    Any help would be great.

    You can go to the properties of the taskbar and select "never combine" for the taskbar buttons. It creates a little different look (which I prefer) and is easier to locate open programs.

    well, its subtle but if you look closely, programs that are not open are not button looking and look flat, open apps will look like they're in a button
