Well I am backing up my collection of DVD's using DVDDecryptor, DVD Shrink, and Nero. I have ripped each of these movies using decryptor, and have managed to put multiple titles to fit on one DVD by using the "re-authoring" mode in DVD Shrink. Putting 2 or 3 movies on one disc is a huge space saver and much easier to keep track of a lot of movies. The only thing I don't like is the plain-boring interface to switch between movies on one disc.
Is there a way to create a simple menu that would enable to select between each movie on 1 disc? Each movie doesn't have any chapters and is 1 solid movie labled "title 1" "title 2" and "title3" in DVD Shrink. On a dvd player I can switch between movies by pressing the "next chapter" button, but in my opinion, this is too plain.
I just want to have a simple menu that would say the title of the dvd and then have a menu where I could select which movie to watch. Is this possible?

Anyone have any input on this?

You can use Nero Video to do this. Or TMPGEnc DVD Author.

Nero has built-in and edit-friendly menus. -

Thats right. Burn using nero. itll just take around 5 minutes to do the complete burn as it simply throws all the videos in and embeds a menu. If you see it beginning to encode the movies though, be advised that the format your videos are in are incorrect. Nero is trying to remedy the situation by re-encoding

...give some of these tools a try: http://www.videohelp.com/tools
I've found that some of the best DVD tools out there are free (like DVD Shrink) but you have to find the one that works best for your needs.
If all you want is to consolidate your DVDs for viewing convenience, I would convert your main titles (PGCs) to AVI (DiVx or XVid) and you can fit 6 (700mb ea.) to one DVD disk. But, you have to have a DVD player that will play AVI files. You can create menus with AVIs but only the newer DiVx Ultra compatible players will support menus. I have a portable DVD palyer that I take on trips and it has a built in menu that reads the AVIs when the disk is inserted.
Good luck.
