I just bought the retail version of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010. I am aware that it states I can install this on up to three computers at home. My question is, lets say I install it on one computer and now I have two installs remaining. If I uninstall it on the computer I just installed it on, will it reset the number of installs so now I, once again, have three installs remaining or will that one install I did get locked to the computer I installed it on?

Short Answer: NO! You Only have 2 installs left after the first install regardless of the fact that you may have removed the first install from your machine. There are no resets (at least from the end-user's end) possible.

But can I uninstall and reinstall as many times as I want on that one computer I originally install it on?

I got sick of the MS Office activation bs when I had to change the hard drive in my old laptop and all the sudden I couldn't reinstall it. Switched to OpenOffice and haven't looked back.
