Sorry for guys to post such a stupid thread but I couldn't find out the answer on the net, trust me I did a thorough research but no result, plus the last time I posted some questions about RAM, I got great answers so here I am again depending on you guys knowledge.

This time, my question is Windows Vista "RTM". I happen to find out on ebay that this seller was selling Windows Vista RTM(6000) for $50, but it says something that I didn't understand, so I cut the whole sentences and paste them here.
"Provided is 1 key that will install Vista. In this case, the key is an RTM universal key and will allow you to choose whichever version of Vista you wish to install. for trial/quick install purposes."
"NOTE: All RC1, RC2 and RTM Release versions are for Trial purposes only.
    You receive
    1-Windows Vista Ultimate RTM Disk /Serial # and 1 MS Office 2007 Disk /Serial # plus documentation."
Does this mean that this product is good for only a limited time and I'm gonna have to reintall after it retails in store? I don't understand the last sentence that was described "for trial/quicj install purposes" If anyone knows what it means, please let me know, I would appreciate your help.
    Thanks memejo

i would not recommend paying anything for rc1 and/or rc2
these 2 versions can be had for free and would expire sometimes mid-2007 anyway

rtm & ms office 2007 for $50? if it sounds too good to be true then it is not

my take? just paying for a retail version if u really want vista, or wait to get a new machine in which case the licence would come with it

    cheers ...

It's probably trial software that will expire after 30 days or so as you've suspected. Also, "buying" Vista from anyone other than MS or a reputable computer manufacturer is unwise.

It's probably not a timed trial copy. It's probably a TechNet Plus or MSDN copy which are full versions that do not expire. With TechNet you get something like 10 activations per key, so this clown might be selling the same key ten times over and making $500 off of it.

To the original poster, don't buy it. From a legal standpoint it's wrong. And from a practical standpoint you risk being unable to activate it once that key starts making the rounds.
