I wasn't sure how to word the title or where to post this.
Recording mostly game footage (and want to use the same workflow for my home video stuff). Want to record to h.264 using x264 in bluray compliant settings.
Im using fraps for the moment so until i change that one problem I have at the moment is it doesnt seem like handbrake will let me do multiple (4gb split) clips into one job out to one file.
I also need to find an editor that will handle not reencoding video already in h.264 when outputting to h.264 again or bluray UNLESS i am changing the quality for a smaller file or it happens to be otherwise necessary.
So in short. Looking to master my files in the max h.264 quality settings bluray players "normally" allow and cut clips without consequence.

264 doesn't edit well. It only has a 'real' image every couple of seconds to minutes and as a result if you try to cut between these you will have to encode at least that much. Have a look around at this site: Tools - Video software and downloads - VideoHelp.com and you might find what you need.
PS: You could edit the uncompressed files from FRAPS with frame accuracy first. -

Everything recorded during idle time will be transcoded into the master format immediately.
Questions on Encoding h.264 for later use (Bluray, sliced edits etc)
