I just want to clear up some things on the recovery discs and partitions.

This is what I've found out until 'till now (correct me if I'm wrong):

    1-Recovery partition:
-Created by the manufacturer, and shipped with new laptops
-It can be used to restore the computer the the state is was when new even if the recovery disks are not present (including all bloatware/crapware/trialware)

    2-Recovery disc(s)
    --Created by the user
--Essentially contain the same information as the recovery partition and carry out the same function

Now firstly, is the info above correct???

Also is it normal to have 2 recovery partitions???
This is an image of my drive, where I can access the C and D partiton, but not the other two:

    Yes correct.

The 9gb partition is the recovery drive.

Im guessing the 3gb partition is for some sort of quick boot application like MediaDirect or Quickplay so you dont need to boot into windows to watch DVD's. I could be wrong though.

Ill move this to Acer forum since its a Acer specific question.

The 3GB partition is most likely Acer Arcade.

I never use Acer Arcade, so if the 3GB partition isn't recovery (which you guys said) is there any way that i can delete it and add it to my D drive without losing all the data on my D drive

    Thanks
