    Hey everyone,

I was wondering if there was any freeware that would work as a quick/dirty dj program. I wanted to do some very minimal play list time that I think may benefit from some lite mixes/fades/etc. I have not been able to find any good information regarding anything of this nature. Does it exist? Any help in where I should look would be great. Thank you for your help.

i dont come from a hardware background musically, so im not sure if i have exactly what you need, but at the very least you can do it live with mixxx:

as a dj, i personally use traktor3 (no pro here yet).

but for partysound that should just fade nice into each other, we successfully employed the "winamp dj" :)

means setting fading options in winamp, and live-dragdrop (and sometimes press-'j') the tracks around on the playlist. that works well for ordinary sound for whole evenings :)

edit: mixxx is cute, but never used it in a real-world scenario.

I appreciate those suggestions, I will jump on them after work. I think they should work well, I just want to add some spice to my music :D
