Hello all. I have a bit of a problem with Quick Time when i try to play mp3's that i click on in my browser (Firefox). Whenever i click an mp3, it plays fine but it shows a black bar insted of showing the volume controls and such. Not sure what i did, if i did anything. Any help would be great.

I have the same problem with .mov files. I think QuickTime is garbage anyhow so I just use WMP.

use a slimmed down version of quicktime, Quicktime for VCP, VCP being Vista Codec Package, i'd use the package as well, remove any other video codec packs you have installed before hand.
-
Hmm. ok. I downloaded the Quicktime for VCP pack and tried to install but it said i have another version of it. Im not sure what i should uninstall. Could anyone here tell me?

Update:
Just got it to install and it didnt work.Neither did iTunes. And that black bar was still there =/ -
i use Vista Codec Package and Quicktime for VCP along side that, and I can play back most everything just fine, in and out of browser.
but if you're going to go that route, you need to make sure your system is free of any related software, iTunes/Quicktime, any previously installed codec packages etc. then ... do a fresh install of VCP and QT for VCP.
of course this is all best to do with a clean install of Windows, less conflicts if any will occur. -
I tried all these things and none of them work. And now when i minimize a window the window doesnt refresh in the toolbar. Before i could minimize the window and watch a youtube video REALLY little when i hovered over it. So now that doesnt work too. Any help would be great =[
