Hi
Vista has a power option to set it to high performance, is there a similar option in XP?
I've had a look in the power options but can't really see anything that might be it...
Thanks in advance for any help/advice![]()

"Always On" is the equivalent for having your CPU run at it's highest multiplier

Lol, that wasn't a dumb question. You would need to install Dell quickset to get "max Performance," which if you ask me, doesn't really improve performance much. But it's still handy to have quickset installed since it displays keyboard commands (ie volume, brightness, etc)

Thank you Brainstew, much appreciated -
I think there is a program which does this. I think it is called Notebook Control? I might be wrong though.

I think you mean notebook hardware control lol

RMClock can make the cpu run at max multipliers too, check out the undevolting guide .
Quick dumb question...
