    Hi,

I am trying to format my C drive from FAT32 to NTFS. I asked Acer if I could do that and they said I could and the disk to disk recovery would still work.

I went to the cmd prompt and typed Convert c: /fs:ntfs. It asked me the volume label and I said ACER, then it said that I can only do it if I dismount the drive. What does this mean, and will I lose data if I do?

it says exactly: "Convert cannot run because the volume is in use by another volume. Convert may run if this volume is dismounted first. ALL OPENED HANDLES TO THIS VOLUME WOULD THEN BE INVALID. Would you like to force a dismount on this volume?"

I don't want to lose any data on the C drive, thanks
