I recently installed NHC and under CPU Speed Control there is a setting called "Clock modulation" which lets you select a % that you want your cpu to run at.

I was just wondering what this setting actually does, as far as I can tell everything stays the same (fsb, voltages, multipliers, etc) but the "internal clock" goes down.

What does this setting do and how does it lower cpu frequency without actually changing any settings? And whats the difference between internal and external clock?

    Thanks.
